Greetings from winter wonderland! It's been far too long since our last posting here - all on account of good things. The summer spent on beautiful PEI was incredible for countless reasons and (long story short) led to a move back to Nova Scotia where my roots are firmly planted once again! The fall was a time of beginnings, transition, challenge and triumph. With the season's turn, and a new year rung, it is now a time of celebration, creation and hibernation!! The spring and summer hold all kinds of exciting news that we can't announce just yet, but hang tight! More info is coming soon! May you be surrounded by love, peppering your days with laughter, filling your ears with music, good conversation and precious silence - be it comfortable or no. I for one am going to spend this blizzard of a day cosy inside with all the above, handy to pen and paper.

SUMMERTIME IN CHARLOTTETOWN!
"JUST ANNOUNCED, Amanda will be spending the summer at the Charlottetown Festival performing in the new musical Dear, Johnny Deere.
"Making its East Coast debut in 2013 is a new musical woven around the toe-tapping songs of Canadian roots legend Fred Eaglesmith. This hybrid musical offers an expressive, touching and sometimes hilarious glimpse into the choices that Canadian families must face in preserving their rural way of life. Eaglesmith’s heartfelt lyrics and driving rhythms score the tale of one farmer’s relationship with the one he loves most." Click here to visit the Charlottetown Festival Website for more info.
Amanda will be playing Caroline (the farmer's wife) and is thrilled to be marrying her skills as an actor, singer and musician once again. "I'm looking forward to telling a story that will surely resonate with Maritime families in a show that will have me playing, singing and cutting my teeth as an actor. And a whole summer in PEI! How dreamy". Plan your red sand beach vacations and book your tickets now!!

Summer by the sea, Fall in the Dot
Summer was so gosh darn busy, it's been forever since we left you folks a line! Amanda played non-stop all over NS making new friends and fans at The Stan Rogers Folk Festival, The LaHave Folk Fest, appearing recently on Paul Kellogg's radio show The Bluenose Opera, and many precious little venues along the way.
Skipping straight to fall: Last weekend was a great big busy one - back and forth between Folk Music Ontario's annual conference (where Amanda was showcasing) and The Global Cabaret Festival at the Young Centre for the Arts (where Amanda was singing in the Elvis Songbook with Mike Ross, Brent Carver, Don Francks, Denzal Sinclaire and Kelly Holiff!!!)Two incredible weekends unto themselves that were difficult to cram into one!
"After that beautiful, crazy weekend I am left deeply inspired...sleep deprived :) and clearer on my path. Many thanks to the OCFF (now FMO) for a conference that was highly entertaining, informative and welcoming, and to Mike Ross for bringing me on board. The Global Cabaret Festival, and our show in particular, was an unbelievably fun and soul-satisfying experience. I hope to share the stage with all of you again, time and again."
Next up, Amanda is back to the East Coast for NS Music Week, and three shows! You can catch her in Halifax, in the Valley or in a sweet house concert in Liverpool! Check the calendar for details!
AND THEN Amanda is back on stage at Koerner Hall paying tribute to James Taylor and Carole King in TAPESTRIES with Acting Upstage. Tickets are going fast! Get yours NOW! November 26th, 8pm. Click right here for info! www.actingupstage.com

Happy New Year, indeed!
2012 began with the kind of weekend that inspires, excites, warms the heart and reminds you WHY you do what you do (even if you hadn't forgotten). I played for beautiful audiences in Port Williams, at the Wolville Farmers Market and in a sold-out, bang up Night Kitchen at the Al Whittle Theatre that featured Blue Tie Affair, Grassworks and The Hupman Brothers (to name a few). One of the most tangible reminders I've ever received is here to the right. I met many appreciative listeners this weekend, and I'm so grateful this one put her thoughts down in words. THIS is what it's allllll about!
I hope your year has begun with great ease, simplicity, cozy sweaters (if, like me, you're someplace chilly), lots of love and of course, sweet music.
I'm settling in for a couple weeks of hibernation on the South Shore with the intent to get my fingers off of the computer keys and onto the black n' white ones. So you'll be hearin' from me again when I've played out the new tunes I can feel in my bones. Till then, take care and thanks for listening.

PRAISE for YOURS,TRULY from THE COAST
It ain't easy to get an album review these days, let alone a great one! We were thrilled to read these words from Doug Taylor this week!
"This Nova Scotian, also a stage actor, has a sweet voice with a more formal approach than many of her peers. Producer Don Kerr (Rheostatics, Ron Sexsmith) treats this as a distinguishing feature, encouraging syllable extension to take advantage of her superb breath control. James McKie’s fiddle pushes for improvisation, opening the door for some sublime intertwine. Some of the songs are fairly basic, and feel like early efforts. On “Keilani’s Song,” however, melody and performance may bring to mind the late Sandy Denny. LeBlanc’s sound is neither retro, trad nor hip except for being timeless, sincere and fresh." - D. Taylor, The Coast.

CD Release Party SOLD OUT!
A Message from Amanda:
Oh what a night! We were packed to the gills- seriously, folks were lined up down the hallway where they could listen but could not see! It was incredible, and I had an absolute ball up there. The band was shit hot and the room was full as an egg - what more could I ask for?? It was bliss to share my music for such a big, loving crowd - and great fun to play the record live.
Many thanks to my incredible band - James McKie, Terry Wilkins, Jamie Drake and Don Kerr (co-producer, engineer and all 'round great guy. if you're looking to record, look to him!), Barb Kaill and MJ Cyr lent their beautiful back up vocals and my good friend Chris Eakins came out to play the Piano.
And double thanks to MJ Cyr for opening the night perfectly. You want a one woman, indie, raw, beautiful show? Check her out.
And endless gratitude to everyone who came. Honestly - there was so much love in that room had I allowed it to permeate me up there I'd have been a puddle on the floor. It was a gorgeous night for me. Surreal and wonderful. ... and perhaps the most fun of whole show was the new tune I debuted as an encore! Luckily, my friend Leigh caught it on her iPhone! (oh, technology...amazing) Have a listen! I hope you like it.
Up next??? A few tours in the works... Montreal in early February, Out East in April... and if the money and wheels come along... cross the country in the Spring!
Much love, and thanks for listening! See you at a show!

New Album is here!
Amanda LeBlanc has the uncanny ability to make you feel as though she's speaking directly to you with every soul-searching note she sings on her aptly-titled debut, "Yours, truly". From the first crooning lick of the slide guitar on Highway Drivin', Amanda's much-awaited first album confesses her deepest and longest-lasting influences. Every beautiful track gives nods (and playful eyebrow raises) to an eloquently simplistic and very-Canadiana soundscape of folk, bluegrass roots and traditional Maritime music.
The music beckons as Amanda paints a musical portrait of reflective hopefulness so genuine, it could easily spring to life in vivid watercolour. With each song this tenderhearted songstress draws on considerable talents for storytelling and moving vocals to create a mix that sometimes broods like a deep-greyblue sea (Keilani's Song), sometimes clicks its heels (Drip) and sometimes daydreams (Cover to Cover), but that's always achingly real.
Amanda's wonderfully original first effort seems to make a promise, as if she's assuring you that, yes, you're meant to be just where you are: letting her currents move you gently and truly.
